Kara Trieal

Rank: Commander
Position: Chief Medical Officer
Place of Birth: Betazed
Species: Half Betazoid, Half Human
Age: 34

General Information

Though Commander Kara Trieal is half betazoid, she has absolutely not telapathic abilities. Because
of that fact, she was never fully accepted in Betazoid society, and has lived the life of a human. Since
she was twelve, she had shown a great interest, and aptness, in the medical field. During the
Dominion war, she served with great distinction on more than one starship, and has saved countless lives...more than even most other medical officers did during the war. During the Vorkalai war, if it
hadn't been for her skills and ingenuity, the Dragon might be down to two hundred Starfleet officers, instead of half of its original compliment.

Medical Information

"Kara, being a doctor herself, has kept herself in great medical and physical condition. She was barely affected by the Devil's Virus as a result. Other than that, because of her consistency of remaining
in good condition, she has had an unremarkable medical history."

~Lieutenant Lisa Ogawa, USS Dragon, Assistant Chief Medical Officer

Psychological Information

"Kara has a very mellow personality. She's very passionate about her work, but the losses she's
seen during the Vorkalai war has had a horrible impact on her. However, her experience in the
Dominion War has allowed her to take it better than most otherwise would have... She still continues
to do her duty quite well, however."

~Lieutant Terry Latrael, USS Dragon, Ship's Counselor

Captain's Note

"Early in her career, Kara had served on a Starbase I had been stationed on. She had saved my
life, and so I couldn't help but try to return the favor by getting her stationed on this ship. However...perhaps this wasn't the best way to repay her..."

~Captain Chris Harriman, USS Dragon, Commanding Officer
